Bollywood is ready to spread its wings all over the country and even outside. This time, the lucky place is Gujarat, where filmmakers Indra Kumar and Ashok Thackeria, are going to open a huge Bollywood studio.
The studio is reportedly going to be set up in Baroda. According to a source, “This studio is planned to have several floors for shooting with hotels for the actors to stay. The studio will also contain restaurants and an amusement park along with a helipad.”
With this studio, the filmmakers are trying to bring the Bollywood industry to Gujarat. The Chief Minister of Gujarat, Narendra Modi, has already granted permission for the project to start in the state. Maruti International will be the name of the new studio, which is also the banner of Indra Kumar and Ashok Thackeria.
The production house of the duo has many super hits to its credit, especially during the 1990s. The films from this house include Beta, Dil and Raja.
Other big names of the industry were also eyeing the project. The insiders of the industry are now wondering how Indra Kumar succeeded in finalizing it.
One thing is final though. The people of Gujarat will now have the added spice of Bollywood!
