John Abraham has always been actively involved in social work. The Rocky Handsome actor, who already owns a football team in the North East, has now been roped in to become the brand ambassador of Arunachal Pradesh Tourism. Though the actor feels blessed to have got this opportunity, he is of the opinion that the region has been alienated by the nation, both historically and geographically.

John Abraham To Be The Face Of Arunachal Pradesh Tourism

Very few people have proper knowledge about that side of India, says Abraham. The Dishoom star also feels that it is high time that we as Indians, consider people belonging to the North East as one of our own. The place boasts of scenic beauty and hence there shoulsd be more awareness about the region. In fact, he feels that it is a blessing in disguise that he has been offered the opportunity to represent the state since he too supports the North East region.

John also says that he has spoken to the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh and has told him that he would like to shoot a film in the area very soon. He has also received a positive response and was assured that he will receive the kind of support that is required. Hence, John is really glad that he has received a thumbs-up from the Chief Minister.

John Abraham Already Owns A Football Team From The North East

In fact, John also said that just like how he promotes football players from the area, he would also like to back talent in films that arises from the North East. And by this, he does not mean only actors but also talent behind the camera. As of now, John is happy that Viacom 18 has partnered with the Government of Arunachal Pradesh to provide strategic consultation services to promote tourism in the state.
