Bollywood Biggies All Set To Clash On Republic Day 2017

Bollywood clashes are not a new phenomenon in tinsel town. One of the recent and biggest clashes has been between Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s epic saga Bajirao Mastani and Rohit Shetty’s out and out entertainer, Dilwale on the close of 2015. Needless to say, clashes affect the business of both the films in a rather negative way.

Bollywood is yet again gearing up for another big clash between three big films, Shah Rukh Khan’s much-awaited Raees, Ajay Devgn’s Baadshaho and Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil. According to reports, the three films were set to release on the occasion of Republic Day 2017. However, the recent news is that Ajay Devgn has made the wise move by shifting the release date of Baadshaho to the 12th of May, 2017. The movie is directed by Milan Luthria, produced by T-Series head honcho, Bhushan Kumar and stars Ajay Devgn and Emraan Hashmi in lead roles. Bhushan Kumar said that after a request from the makers of Kaabil, he decided to postpone the release date of Baadshaho, for the benefit of all the three films. Smart move!

On the other hand, the director of Kaabil, Sanjay Gupta reaffirmed the movie’s clash with Raees on Twitter. He said that Kaabil will release on the 26th of January. The movie is produced by Senior Roshan and stars Junior Roshan and Yami Gautam in lead roles. The interesting part is that SRK is still trying his best to avert the clash and is in talks with Hrithik and his father. The producers of Raees, Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar are scheduled to meet the Roshans and will try to figure things out. He believes that since the shooting of Kaabil has just begun, its release can be postponed. On the other hand, Raees is almost ready and was already set to release this Eid with Salman Khan’s Sultan.

It will be fun to see which of these two films finally release on Republic Day next year. Only time will tell!
