Madari Delayed By A Week To Help Great Grand Masti Fight Piracy

Irrfan khan’s upcoming Indian social- thriller film Madari is now releasing one week later than its scheduled date. Madari, which stars Jimmy Shergill as well, was supposed to release on 15th July, but now that the dates are shifted, Great Grand Masti will be releasing on this date.

While we’ve seen enough Bollywood films fight and bleed at the box-office, here’s a story about two competitive producers who attempted to resolve an imminent conflict in a sensible manner. The certain reason for changing the release date of the movie is that the team of Madari is fighting piracy for upcoming film Great Grand Masti.

The movie is found to be leaked in Delhi in which nine shopkeepers were arrested by crime branch unit of Delhi police. Interrogation revealed that they had been selling pirated copies of unreleased movies to their customers through CDs and pen drives by uploading it from certain websites and copying in their computers and laptops. Nine cases are currently registered in sections of Indian Penal Code and Copy Right Act. After leakage of latest movie Udta Punjab, this is another recent case of piracy. The police is now searching original source of leaking of the unreleased movie and people behind this whole conspiracy.
However, a film leaking before their release is haunting news for all those who are creatively and financially involved with the project. Irrfan khan starrer Madari’s crew seems happy to decide to change the date of release, their team took a while but certain decisions go beyond profit levels.
This isn’t the first time the Irrfan Khan starrer’s release has been pushed. Madari was initially set to release on June 10th, however, the movie makers did not want to crash on with Amitabh Bachchan starrer Te3n as a result of which the dates were shifted.
The finalized date of release is now, 22nd July, 2016. With the change in dates of Madari, crew members showed that unity within the industry is essentially required so that creativity will prevented by stolen and maligned. Hindi film industry must stand together to fight piracy and work for and with each other.
Director of upcoming Bollywood adult horror comedy film, Great Grand Masti, Indrakumar seems warmed by Vashuji for moving his film forward by a week on GGM team’s request. Irrfan khan wished the ‘GGM’ team all the best and expects that fans will be patient for the delay.
