Pradeep Sarkar’s Next Movie Has An Interesting Plot


Pradeep Sarkar is a critically acclaimed director who has earlier helmed films like Parineeta, Laaga Chunari Mein Daag, Lafangey Parindey, and Mardaani. He is also the man behind T-Series’ new single, Ik Vaari, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Aisha Sharma. However, now the filmmaker is busy prepping for his next movie. This film titled Dabba Gul speaks of an interesting plot and an even more interesting star cast. Reports say that Amitabh Bachchan and Varun Dhawan have been approached for this one!

The Movie Has An Underlined Social Message

The movie will be a feel-good film and Yash Raj Films will be backing it up financially. Though any official confirmation about the star cast hasn’t yet been received, media has started speculating about the offbeat combination of Senior Bachchan and the Badlapur actor. However, it is the plot of film that the audience is falling in love with. It is being said that while the Pink actor will be playing the role of the head of the famous dabba-walas in Mumbai. On the other hand, Varun Dhawan will be essaying the character of an MBA topper, who is eager to learn the functioning of these dabbawalas. In fact, even ends up signing for a two-month internship!

According to sources, the film will be directed towards the message of dignity of labour. It will speak about how people are demeaned just because they do an odd job. But Dabba Gul will also be a slice-of-life kind of a movie, without any preaching or lectures.

Amitabh And Varun To Reunite For Yash Raj Films

However, though Amitabh Bachchan’s dates are locked, Varun is still trying to fit this movie into his packed schedule. While the senior actor has been garnering worldwide praise after the success of Pink and will be next seen in Thugs Of Hindostan, along with Aamir Khan, Varun is currently busy with Badrinath Ki Dulhania and will then begin shooting for Judwaa 2.
