Release of Shivalinga Postponed Even Further; Fans Might Have To Wait Till April

Shivalinga is the Tamil remake of a Kannada movie with the same title. First, the movie was supposed to be in cinemas on 26 Jan 2017. Then the date was changed to 17 Feb 2017. However, the rumors indicate that fans of Raghava Lawrence need to wait a bit more as the movie might not make it to the box office until April. The movie is directed by P Vasu who is also the director and writer of its original Kannada version.

The multi-talented star Raghava Lawrence is a choreographer, playback singer, actor and director himself. He started his acting career from a movie Speed Dancer and is continuously doing well with acting after that. He got awarded for his extraordinary performance in 2015 superhit Kanchana 2. He is on-screen again with horror-comedy in Shivalinga. No doubt there will be action too. Trailer reflects the movie well with correct fusion of fear, laughter and action.

P Vasu used his experience of remaking Kannada movies as he did with a Aaptha Mitra to Chandramukhi in 2005. Chandramukhi was a huge hit and initially Vasu was about to make Shivalinga as a sequel for Chandramukhi. He has also approached Rajinikanth for same but Rajni was not interested in the sequel. A mind switch made him sign Raghava to star in Shivalinga. Ritika Singh was signed for lead female role, after Vasu negotiated with Hansika Motwani and Anushka Shetty. Vasu also casted his son Shakti along with Vadivelu for important roles in the movie.

Tamil star seems satisfied with his work in Shivalinga and expects the movie would be an addition to his hit series. He told media that Shivalinga might turn out a bigger hit than Kanchana and Ganga. While for us it would be a surprise to discover who is taking the kicks and punches in this horror movie, the team of Shivalinga hold the surprise.
