After Sultan, Salman Khan has been making news for both right and wrong reasons. The actor is currently involved in the shooting of Kabir Khan’s Tubelight, which is set to release next year. Apart from the movies that he acts in, his production house Salman Khan Productions is also actively involved in movie ventures. The actor has recently produced Freaky Ali, starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui, which is set to release on the 9th of September. Now reports say that the actor’s next production venture is a biopic based on the controversial life of Somen Banerjee.

Period-Based Biopic On Banerjee To Be Produced By Salman Khan

Somen Banerjee, was a Bengali man, living in Kolkata in the 60’s. Since his father was a painter, he moved to Los Angeles in search of a better life. But ambition drove him to create Chippendales, which created a wave in the US for being a nightspot popular for its male striptease performances. The man, also known as Steve Banerjee, was driven by ambition, power, and violence. And Salman Khan will back this film with a novel concept.

A reliable source of Salman’s production house also added that they are currently working on the script and they plan to showcase the story in the form of a feature film, as well as a mini-series. The casting of the film has not begun since the planning is still in the initial stages.

After Tubelight, Salman Khan Is Confused About His Choice Of Films

As an actor, Salman Khan is in a fix about his choices. Sources say that the actor has currently been approached for three big banner films – Yash Raj Films’ Tiger Zinda Hai, Abbas Mustan’s Race 3, and Arbaaz Khan’s Dabangg 3. Though the actor wants to take up Tiger Zinda Hai, which will directed by the Sultan director Ali Abbas Zafar, but since the script is not ready, the actor is hesitant.
