Superstar Salman Khan never fails to get embroiled in controversies, especially the ones that harm his public image. While on one hand, his latest film Sultan has broken all previous box office records in just a span of 8 days, on the other hand, the actor’s recent comment about rape is still doing the rounds of social media. But our Dabangg star does not look in the mood to apologize yet. After overlooking three summons sent to him by the National Commission For Women (NCW), the actor has now skipped his scheduled appearance before the Maharashtra State Commission For Women (MSCW)!
A few days before the release of Sultan, Salman made a rather controversial statement on a sensitive issue before the media in a promotional event. When asked about his physical training to play a wrestler, he replied by saying that his training sessions were so exhaustive and physically draining, that he used to walk like a raped woman, every time he exited the wrestling ring.
Following this, a major outrage broke the internet where the actor was criticized for his repeated insensitive remarks. Bollywood celebrities also did not stay behind in voicing their personal opinions on the issue. While some called a spade a spade, some played it very diplomatically. Interestingly, Salman’s father, the legend Salim Khan, too, apologized on the behalf of his son but Bhaijaan himself has still not shown any signs of an intended apology.
After skipping three summons of the NCW, today Salman was summoned by the women panel of MSCW, but Mr. Khan gave this a miss too! Neither he, nor his lawyer appeared on the scheduled time. However, the MSCW received a letter on his behalf stating that since he has already been summoned by the NCW, the MSCW now has no jurisdiction in the matter. Well, it looks like our Sultan does not want any duplicity in such a controversial matter.
