As per actor Randhir Kapoor it is impossible to remake the classic oldies Awara. The veteran actor told the media on the occasion of at the launch of the book “The Dialogue of Awara; Raj Kapoor’s Immortal Classic”.

According to the actor who is also the elder son of Raj Kapoor it is difficult to select the actor/actresses to be on footnotes of Raj Kapoor. The theme, plot and acting could be modified but where to get Prithviraj Kapoor, Nargis and Raj Kapoor combination? It would be making fool of you by trying to imitate film because today’s actors are lacking in the skills, Raj Kapoor used to have.

 Raj Kapoor was just 27 when he made Awara, one of the most successful movies of his career which turned to be a blockbuster. On asking about, whether the production house would like to bring the old memory back to the audience with new stuff, Randhir clearly refused to make it again. He also clarified that still, many people come to me asking to remade it including my brothers Rishi and Rajeev, but whenever I think about it, I got scared.

Meanwhile, the actor was so much happy at the book launching event. He added When Nasreen Munni Kabir approached me with the idea to transform this great film into a book; I got very excited as it’s one of my favourite films
