Aamir’s Dangal Will Have A New Marketing Strategy

It is no news that Aamir Khan is an absolute perfectionist. Right from acting to film-making, he has already been involved in a number of controversies due to this quality. With his upcoming much-awaited film Dangal, Aamir will now enter the field of marketing too! Apparently, the actor has stated that Dangal will be promoted with the help of a new marketing strategy.

After the magnanimous success of Salman Khan’s Sultan, Aamir now wants to take an unconventional route for Dangal’s success. Since both the movies are based on the sport of wrestling, Aamir thinks that promoting his movie in the same way would not garner enough attention. Hence, he wants to shift the focus of Dangal from the sport to the plot. The movie is a biopic, based on the life of Haryanvi wrestler, Mahavir Phogat. Phogat went on to train his four daughters, who later won silver and gold medals in the Commonwealth Games, 2010.

Perfectionist Aamir wants to market the film as a step towards the empowerment of girls. The first poster was recently released amidst much hype. The hard-hitting poster featured an aged Aamir with his four daughters. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao, and Sdidharth Roy Kapur, Dangal also stars Sakshi Tanwar as Phogat’s wife, and Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra as two of his daughters.

The PK actor has worked quite hard for the film, as the movie spans the lifetime of the wrestler. He had to first prepare for the muscular look and then modify his appearance to look like an aged Phogat. The movie, which is slated for a big Christmas release on the 23rd of December this year, has already been around much hype since its filming. Now with the eager participation of the man himself, it sounds all the more exciting. It looks like the year is all set to end with a bang!
