The legend actor and Shahanshah of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan has recently completed his 48 years in Bollywood industry. On 15 February, the Big B has completed 48 years as on this day in 1969 he signed his first film. The first film signed by him was “Saat Hindustani”.

Amitabh Bachchan was born in 1942 in Allahabad. Initially, the surname of Big B was Shrivastava but he signed his first film with the name Bachchan. Since then his complete family is following the same surname. He adopted this surname because his poet father used to publish his books under this name. Amitabh Bachchan did theater in his younger age and entered in this film industry in 1969. His first film was directed byKhwaja Ahmad Abbas which was also a National Award winner. The co-actors of Amitabh Bachchan in Saat Hindustani were Utpal Dutt, Madhu, Anwar Ali and Jalal Agha. The film was based on the seven Indians who tried to liberate Goa from Portuguese rule. In this movie, Amitabh Bachchan played the role of Anwar Ali. The movie won Nargis Dutt Award for Best Feature Film on National Integration as well as National Film Award for Best Lyrics to KaifiAzmi.
