Is Ae Dil Hai Mushkil A True Story?

The teaser of Karan Johar’s much-talked about film, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil took social media by storm a few days ago. The film, which stars Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anushka Sharma, and Fawad Khan in pivotal roles, has been written and directed by Karan Johar. Going by the trailer, the film talks about one-sided love. Apparently, now reports flow in that the plot of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has been inspired by Karan Johar’s life!

Since the teaser has released, B-town has been all praises about Johar’s ability to depict emotions. When in a recent media interaction, the director was quizzed about the plot of the film, the director said that his brief to Ranbir was simple – that he was supposed to play Karan Johar!

When probed further, the filmmaker elaborated by saying that he normally makes films by making observations and then filtering those through the help of a cinematic palette, but with Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, it was different. This movie speaks more about him than any of his previous movies.

Karan Johar also went to say that he has been in love twice but has been unfortunate to not have received love in return even once. Hence, he feels that he is the brand ambassador of heartbreaks. The film revolves around the plot of unreciprocated love and it will surely take the audience through an emotional journey.

The audiences are also pretty excited for the film since it is Karan Johar’s directorial venture. He has earlier directed movies like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, My Name Is Khan, and Student Of The Year. The movie is also being produced under his production banner, Dharma Productions.

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is slated to release during the long Diwali weekend. Interestingly, it will be clashing with Ajay Devgn’s directorial venture, Shivaay.
