Mahesh Bhatt Clears The Air About Aashiqui 3

Bollywood is currently riding high on the trend of making a franchise out of a hit film. The Bhatt banner is also not left far behind with hit series like Raaz, Murder, and Aashiqui. Aashiqui 2, which starred debutants Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor, set the bar high for romantic movies. After the film became super hit, the makers announced its sequel. It was rumoured that Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt would be starring in the third installment of the franchise. However, producer Mahesh Bhatt finally cleared the air about the film in a recent media interaction.

Mohit Suri Had Directed Aashiqui 2

Sidharth and Alia, who haven’t officially accepted their relationship in public, are touted to be one of the hottest B-town couples in real life. Hence, it was understood that their fans would want to see them sharing screen space in a romantic film like Aashiqui 3. However, Mahesh Bhatt has revealed that Aashiqui 3 still has a long way to go before becoming official.

Though producer Mukesh Bhatt had earlier said that Sidharth and Ali would be coming together for Aashiqui 3, Mahesh Bhatt says that they are far from signing the film. Hence, it would be an incorrect assumption to speculate that they are a part of the film. He also went on to say that the makers have not given the sequel a serious thought and are busy in planning other films currently. Though they will take the franchise forward, they are unsure about when the next part would be planned.

However, the filmmaker also had some good news to share! He said that plans for Murder 4 are on since it is a lucrative series. Currently, the Bhatt camp is looking forward to their next release on the 16th of September, which is Raaz Reboot. The movie stars Emraan Hashmi, Kriti Kharbanda, and Gaurav Arora in lead roles.
