It all began when the director’s favourite pair were roped in for the third time after Ram-Leela and Bajirao Mastani. However, soon reports suggested that due to some creative differences between Sanjay and Ranveer, the latter had walked out of the film. Then, names like Shahid Kapoor, Shah Rukh Khan, and Hrithik Roshan were being considered as a replacement. But finally, Ranveer has put all the rumours to rest.

The actor has apparently decided to shift closer to the film sets of Padmavati, which is going to be shot at a popular film city in Mumbai. It is the same location at which Bajirao Mastani was shot; Ranveer was then staying at a luxury hotel on the highway which was just a few minutes from the set. However, as per sources the actor has finally bought a posh apartment in one of the high-rises in the surrounding area. While he will be shifting there when the filming of Padmavati begins, leading lady Deepika Padukone will travel from her residence to the set. Both the actors have reserved 200 days for the film and have also started the preparations; Ranveer is currently sporting a beard according to his look in the film.

The second male lead of Padmavati or the character of Padmavati’s husband, Raja Ratan Singh, for which Vicky Kaushal was once considered, has still not been decided.
