One of Salman Khan’s superhit films was David Dhawan’s Judwaa. The 1997 hit flick, starring him alongside Karisma Kapoor and Rambha, revolved around the story of twin brothers, who get separated during their childhood. The hilarious drama that follows forms the premise of the film. Directed by David Dhawan, Salman’s commendable comic timing was loved by the audiences. 20 years later, David has decided to come up with the sequel of Judwaa, starring his son, Varun Dhawan. Interestingly, the hit dance number Tan Tana Tan, performed by Salman Khan, will also be a part of the sequel as a remixed version!
Varun Tries To Fit In Salman’s Shoes
According to sources, when Varun was quizzed about the shooting schedule of Judwaa 2, he said that they will start shooting in January 2017, after he finishes with Karan Johar’s Badrinath Ki Dulhania. The Badlapur actor stated that currently, his look and the script of the film are being worked on. He considers his dad to be the master of double-role film, so the audience can surely expect something that has never been seen on the silver screen before.
As a fun fact, in the Dream Team tour, Varun also performed on the hit Judwaa number and the audience went crazy. The Dishoom actor says that it came as a surprise to him that the current generation is still a fan of the 90’s hit number. He says that though they may have forgotten the movie, but the iconic song is popular even today.
Keeping in mind the craze for the song, the father-son duo has decided to retain the song in the sequel too. But it will obviously be recreated to suit the current music scenario. As we all know, Varun is a fantastic dancer; it will fun seeing him stepping into the shoes of the Sultan actor, Salman Khan. While Sallu had carried the original film entirely on his shoulders, only time will tell if Varun is able to do justice to the sequel.
