Akshay Kumar is all set to rock the silver screen with his much-awaited movie Rustom. Starring Ileana D’Cruz, Esha Gupta, and Khiladi Kumar in lead roles, Rustom is a suspense-thriller based on the controversial Nanavati court case. The movie will be hitting the screens on the 12th of August; Hrithik Roshan’s Mohenjo Daro is also slated to release on the same day. However, it is Rustom which has stolen the show with its unique promotional strategy. Bollywood biggies have been showing their love for the movie through various social media platforms!

Bollywood Celebs Expresses Desire To Watch Rustom

It all began with Salman Khan posting a video where he urged his fans to go and watch Rustom in the theatres on the 12th of August. Next up was the Bajirao of Bollywood, Ranveer Singh. The actor first built suspense by posting a very old pic of himself with Akshay. He then posted a hilarious video where he, dressed as a Navy officer, is dancing to one of Akshay’s hit songs from the 90’s titled Tera Chumma.

Next up was Sonakshi Sinha who has worked with the Baby actor in movies like Rowdy Rathore and Holiday. Sona, who recently took to singing for her upcoming film Akira, posted a video where she is seen playing the drums and crooning a hit song from Rustom titled Tere Sang Yaara. Neerja actress Sonam Kapoor also shared one of her photos on social media and captioned it by saying that she’s ready to watch Rustom!

Recently, Akshay’s co-star from Brothers, Sidharth Malhotra showed his support by posting an adorable video where he and his pet dog, Oscar are showing their excitement for Rustom. Even filmmaker Karan Johar has been re-sharing these posts. The fraternity has come together to support and begin the countdown for Rustom; this clearly shows the unity of the film industry. Needless to say, Rustom’s novel marketing strategy will play an important role in its success once it is released.
