According to sources, the darling daughter of Shatrughan Sinha, Sonakshi had earlier lent her voice to a music single, titled Aaj Mood Ishqholic Hai. Sonakshi said that the song talks about the premise of the movie. It speaks of the emotion of revenge ad hatred that helps a girl to fight back all alone. Music composer Shekhar Ravjiani has helped her with the song. Apparently, Sona denies the fact that she had to rehearse for the song. She says it was a spontaneous move and she spent only 30 minutes before the microphone!

The actress believes that such a step was necessary for her to connect with the youth during the upcoming promotions of the movie. It so happened that while shooting the music video of the song, Sonakshi would start singing it aloud instead of lip-syncing. That’s when the makers decided to give it a shot since the actress also loves singing.

Akira also stars Anurag Kashyap as an antagonist and Konkona Sen Sharma in an important supporting role. While the song sung by the Dabangg actress will be released next week, the movie is set to hit the silver screens on the 2nd of September.
