In a very short span, Varun has carved a niche for himself in the industry with his smart selection of roles. However, in a recent media interaction Dhawan revealed that he is not interested in doing biopics and sequels!

As per earlier reports, Varun was rumoured to have signed a movie based on the life of Olympic medallist and shooter, Abhinav Bindra. When the media quizzed him about this, the actor clearly denied the rumours of being a part of such a biopic. He also went on to state that these days everybody is either making a biopic or is acting it. He does not want to be a part of the crowd and hence, is not interested in starring in a biopic.

Then there were also rumours of him playing the main lead in the sequel of the Aamir Khan and Madhuri Dixit starrer cult film, Dil. When questioned about this, the actor yet again refuted the rumours of signing Dil 2 as he does not want to be a part of a sequel.

Varun went to say that he is keen on doing meaty roles that bring out his versatility as an actor. He stills feels like a college student as the directors keep taking him back of the college. The actor wants to step out of that genre and try something new. He feels that there are a number of different and entertaining facets to his personality.
