Will Befikre Come Under The Dreaded Scissor Of The Censor Board?

A number of films have already been edited according to the Board’s demand; the latest ones being Baar Baar Dekho, Pink, and Raaz Reboot. Ranveer Vaani Kiss Away In Aditya Chopra’s Befikre

Aditya Chopra’s upcoming directorial venture, titled Befikre, stars Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor in lead roles. Touted to be an out-and-out romantic movie set in the backdrop of Paris, this movie been grabbing attention since the makers began releasing its posters. Ranveer and Vaani can be seen kissing in each of the posters of Befikre that have been released. In fact, the Bajirao actor will also be putting his butt on full display in the movie.

The movie, which is set to release on the 9th of December, already set tongues wagging when they released the first song. Titled Labon Ka Karobaar, the song shows 25 odd couples passionately kissing on the streets of Paris. This brought people thinking about whether the Censor Board will approve of such content.

CBFC Apprehensive About The Movie’s Verdict

As per reports, the CBFC is doubtful about how Befikre could go forward without having to face problems when earlier movies with much lesser sexual content have had to bite the dust. When Nihalani was quizzed about it, he said that they will have to wait and see about how such sequences make sense in the movie. They will need to see how many of the 27 smooches actually fit the narrative. All of this will happen when the movie reaches the CBFC right before the release. As for the song, it was released online and hence was not under the jurisdiction of the Board.
